HOW TO KEEP YOUR FAMILY FIT AND HEALTHY

Another clutch of remedial and general fitness exercises for all age groups and all parts of the sagging American body. The middle-aged and conscience.stricken may, for example, refer to the index for specific improvers from Abdominal to Waist. All exercises are conveniently numbered. There are groups of groaners-and grunters for all age categories, and a bracing section for very senior citizens. Of course all these should be okayed first by one's doctor, since Prudden is apt to be a bit blithe on such complex ills as bursitis (with many sufferers in the acute phase any exercise at all is an irritant) while other gymnastics may prove too stressful for some, and not only physically. How about taking five deep knee bends before 'answering the office phone, or knocking off seventy-five of the same in the men's room? Rum. However, Prudden's regimens, if adopted with a physician's imprimatur, are ungimmicky, require little or no equipment, and just may inspire the sedentary to move their gluteals.
