WHAT HAPPENED TO GEORGE?

Good second grade reader- in a humorous story with a not too obvious moral. George was a piglet, a well-behaved member of the pig family. But his unhealthy addiction to gorging sweets brought him to a vivid ending. The book is written with gaiety that children love, and illustrated enchantingly, by Esther Friend. The very exaggeration of the ending takes it out of the moral class and makes it into slapstick humor and hearty reading.
