FIRST RIFLE

Strong emphasis on care and safety mark a useful primer for that inevitable stage in the lives of many children- when they want their first gun. Starting off with the rifle and its parts, the author's brief text and very explanatory pictures continue to show the power of a .22, basic shooting positions and the elements of good sighting, target shooting, hunting for small guns (with the accent on pests), cleaning, and so on. C. B. Colby has several other nature how-to books to his name.
