SANTA CLAUS FOREVER

Poor Santa! ""A sick reindeer, a dented runner, burned pants, and a brick on my head."" So he dials a television network to announce that he's going to retire. Then a stranger parachutes in; introduces himself as Santa's replacement ""from the Mega-Fun Corporation""; and proceeds to describe the changes he'll make--like not reading children's letters or holding them on his lap. (""I have to move around the toy department and see how sales are going."") Well, the real Santa can't have any of that--so out goes the imposter, and out goes the good news that Santa isn't retiring, ever. Illustrated by the Ambruses with old-fashioned, story-book cheer: an updated old-fashioned tale, of the family-magazine sort, for sharing among generations.
