SUSANNAH SCREAMING

A follow-up to Poor, Poor Ophelia (which became the pilot film for those mean Streets of San Francisco) and television typecast at just that level. Rees, a loner and a loser, comes out of prison to witness his wife run down by a motorcyclist in a hurry, and the girl he next attaches himself to leaves by the window. There are two further casualties including one body in a ""million dollar shroud""--Saran-wrapped in greenbacks. Except for this, it's standard active stuff not to bear the scrutiny of more than those radar eyes on a California Freeway.
