TREASURE UNDER COYOTE HILL

Uranium is discovered by the partners who engineered the other unique business transaction outlined in Celestial Space, Inc. (1954) and the doings, albeit zany, provide some lessons in civic management. Brick, Eddie and Jane of Riverdale, a town with a water shortage, make a find with their old geiger counter right away but, through inexperience, also make a deal with some ne'er do well operators who use investors' money to disadvantage. Though the claim turns out to be poor and the trickery almost irreparable, the diggings do turn up a new water supply for Riverdale and the kids are exonerated from blame. Snappy dialogue makes this move along.
