SOMEBODY JUST GRABBED ANNIE

Three bomb-assembling terrorists, led by a militant black girl, hijack Annie Flight 1200 (Atlantic Northeast Airlines' lunchtime run from NY to Miami). Their ransom demands--five million in cash and safe passage to Algeria--seem reasonable enough. Then again, they hadn't counted on their new jet having a structural defect. . . or that the insurance company is liable for a total settlement of close to two billion dollars. . . or lastly that one of the passengers would be the beloved mother of Mafioso chieftain Sally Max. Consequently, the various complications necessitate some truly incredible behind-the-scenes plotting--by the airline's parent conglomerate, the insurance co., the Justice Dept. and the FBI--calling for both the destruction of the plane (since it's already unsafe) and the death of its likable pilot (to create a martyr). Such a ridiculous caper you'll want to grab a parachute.
