LET ME SHOW YOU VERMONT

The third Vermont book -- and fifth or sixth book, if all including Vermont were counted -- in the past two years. This is a more rounded picture, more comprehensive -- Briefly -- the history, the people. More fully, the contour, the hills and mountains, the trails, the opportunities for enjoyment, the woods and streams, the wild creatures, the birds and fish, the sports -- winter and summer, the countryside and the towns, the architecture, and special quality of life. Grand salesmanship --but one finishes with a feeling that he thinks you will understand and appreciate if you are the right sort of person --not otherwise. Not a travel book. Not limited to a segment of Vermont. Nor on the other hand, a completely satisfying inspirational book about the state. Government -- politics --temperament -- all there.
