DEATH JOINS THE WOMAN'S CLUB

Death hits a small California town of lungers and pseudo-artists, when the poet-author of a pageant at the woman's club is killed -- and the painter-artist of the leading lady follows suit. Odd medley of would-be artists, tuberculars, old Spanish aristocrats, pouter pigeon local club women, all evading Mike Briscoe, local chief of police. Tough talk and tough solution --definitely hitting below the belt. So -- so.
