THE WONDERFUL WORLD SERIES

Frenchy"" Beaumont, who has been the hero of several of Verral's sports books, has a special project under consideration this time, in insuring the funds for his team's trip to New York to see the World Series. He gets a setback when one of the sponsors vetoes the trip. But this isn't the end. ""Frenchy's"" marvelous Uncle Leo, who paints modern ""primitives"", finds a backer in an enthusiastic art dealer, and the resultant sale of his pictures finances the whole project. Amusing- though a bit fortuitous.
