MY DAY WITH NUMBERS

One child"" puts on ""two slippers"" and is greeted by ""three muffins"" at breakfast, then uses ""four crayons"" to make ""five drawings,"" and so on through a day that ends with ""nine books"" and ""ten yawns"" (labeled with Arabic numerals in their one appearance here). The appealing mop-top preschooler, outlined in bold black, is cheerful except when confronted with ""eight string beans."" (There are kids who like veggies.) An above-average board book. A companion volume, My Day with Animals, is in the same format.
