These board books illustrate a game parents play universally with their infants--a game that is simple yet vital to learning development. Photographed in vivid color against a blue background, Aleksandra, who appears to be just under a year, faces the camera expectantly and points out the body part asked for in the question printed in large black type across the page. In ""Where is your nose?,"" the face is the focus; the rest of the body is dealt with in ""Where are your toes?"" The pictures, taken by an expert in the field of infant photography, appear natural and unforced; and Aleksandra, wearing a diaper and an alert expression, seems to be enjoying herself. Common sense might lead one to wonder why a book is needed for such a simple game, but this game is a first step to teaching verbal ability and fills identity needs as well. Useful in infant resource centers as well as in the home, reinforcing an enjoyable parent-child experience.
