STAR RISING

A slick tale, for the rental library crowd who reeds for sheer entertainment. Story of an orphan, raised by a group of men, who goes to the big city to become an actress, becomes notorious for her wise cracks and her friends, and -- when chance is given her to make good, becomes involved in a murder investigation. There's a mystery which is ultimately solved, and which gives the story a double appeal to those of the mystery fans who like more story than mystery. Ran in Cosmopolitan.
