This yearbook for 1947 is based on International News Service items and photographs and King Features Syndicate material, but the skillful job of editing has welded it together into a useful reference book which brings together a motley collection of data about the year just passed. Occasional flippancy -- the inclusion of such things as comic strips lowers the general tone, perhaps, but makes it more entertaining than for instance, The World Almanac, for the man in the street.
