THE STORY OF NOAH

Now that the E. Boyd Smith Noah's Ark seems difficult to find, this very original amplification of the familiar story for small children may well take its place. The solemnity of the Bible story disappears in highly modernized retelling of the story with Mrs. Noah wondering about getting a new umbrella- and making doughnuts in the ark kitchen, and Mr. Noah warning against a second helping of oatmeal as the supplies run low. The best of the book are the twenty pages of animals, two by two -- colorful and appealing pictures- and the humorous line drawings throughout. Cloth with paper pastedown. A sturdy reliable for years to come.
