TARGET FIVE

Another one of Colin Forbes' action tales -- lots of it certainly, along with good technical and atmospheric effects to substitute for the faceless people in this story of what takes place on Target Five, a research base in the Arctic. Gorov, a leading Soviet oceanographer defects there bringing other Russian pursuants to the site and increasing the natural dangers of growlers and ghost bergs. Synthetically hot-cold stuff which never manages to be more than medium cool in the category it services.
