IT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN TO A DOG

It's hard to put a reasonable light on what goes on in the little British village of Flaxborough but you always read Mr. Watson's mystifying drolleries with interest, augmented by the presences of Sgt. Love and Mr. Purbright and Miss Lucilla Teatime. This one has to do about equally with the death of a local Hell's Angel during a Fun Fair ride; a persuasive gentleman from Happy Endings, Inc., which deals in matrimonial readjustments (catered divorcees); and what's going into a pet food product. Another bright and cheerful bloom on Flaxborough's unpredictable garden path.
