ARIZONA COWBOYS

A companion volume to Texas. Cowboys (Dutton, 1937) this pictures the life, thirty five years ago, in the hot, desert part of Arizona, South of the Mogollon Plateau, of the cowboys and their work -- rounding up wild cattle, struggling against the encroaching sheep -- fighting cactus and stampedes. There are rodeos, round-ups, the cattle versus sheep wars, the great drought of 1903-1904 -- all from personal experience and adding to Southwest history. A good job.
