INTO SLAM, UNDERGROUND KINGDOM

Fabulous O.S.S. coverage of Siam, enemy kingdom of pro-Japanese puppets. Smith headed the Siam mission which maintained underground alliance with the U.S.A. -- 19 Thai students were recruited in America, screened, trained, outfitted, and flown to Calcutta. In China they ran into a snag -- and the first attempt at infiltration failed. Finally, liaison was accomplished with the Thai underground -- and eventually Thais were brought out, trained and returned to set up their own schools in Siam. Authentic adventure, holding reading, in the first detailed account of this important mission.
