Morton is a poet in the Charles Hanson Towne school of lightweight verse. The poems are brief lyrice for the most part, dealing with the world of nature, with occasional ones on mankind, with an underlying kindly philosophy. Delicate, ephemeral, not really first class. Sort of diluted Housman.
