BLACK DOUGAL

More than a drap of Geordie-style ethnic celebration -- only the Scot here is the impoverished and limp Laird of Drin, soon to become cock of the north. With the gleeful encouragement of his friends who were the parents of his standoffish beloved Tirene, Dougal is off to Canada to pop some swag for Drin's survival. Under cover of a gentleman gardener's mission, Dougal -- with the unexpected assistance of Diane -- a silky stewardess who takes charge of the heist and also Dougal's latent powers in bed, returns with the money to Scotland to win Tirene. Relentlessly roguish but there are a few bright and funny moments.
