THE STORY OF THE LITTLE RED ENGINE

Quality merchandise, this, in a handsome English train book, with distinctive full-color illustrations. This team did The Little Red Engine Gets a Name. There's a description of the route the train takes; there's passing acquaintance with a jolly dog, some ducks, the Baronet's donkey, the gamekeeper's cat, some sheep, some marsh frogs, and some stations with beguiling names. One day the little engine is late and there is a pleasant flurry up and down the line. Rhythmic text with a flavor of the unknown to add word-play value. Board cover- rather perishable we fear.
