CLAUDE THE DOG: A Christmas Story

'Tis the season to be sentimental and Gachenbach doubles the measure by demonstrating the spirit of Christmas through the generosity of Claude, a lovable mutt who gives all his presents to homeless Bummer because Claude's best ""present"" is at home -- a little boy he lands on and showers with enthusiastic licks at the end. The caricatured expressiveness of clowning Claude (who looks sometimes like a rabbit and sometimes a jowly old lady) and heartstring-tweaking Bummer will earn its share of ""ahhh's,"" but Snoopy TV specials promise enough holiday cuteness for those of us who find doggie tongues resistible.
