RETURN TO THE LEVEL LAND

A sincere but somewhat dull presentation of the problems of young adolescents returned to normal life in Holland after invasion, famine, flood, and Nazi occupation. This is a sequel to The Level Land and again a story about the pleasant and interesting Van Oordts, all here except the brother who was killed. Some of the more interesting members who lived far beyond their years, find problems in returning to childhood ways. There is so much of interest here that it is too bad the handling is not more compelling.
