SILVER WINGS

Originally scheduled for Fall, this was reported 9/15/47, as follows:- ""Fact in somewhat fictionized frame- which detracts from its value. For these are true stories about the AAF in World War II, including many lesser known heroes whose exploits make vivid telling. Good lively stuff- occasionally too journalese in style. But the authors have justified the collection through the device of restoring to sanity a psychoneurotic flier by telling him these stories. The device lands unreality to the achievements of some very real human beings.
