CRY FOR HELP

Rachel is an aide on the Hot Line two nights a week -- handling all kinds of distressed people, like the girl who seems to be a neurotic nudnik who keeps calling to say her mother was killed by a prowler and she's afraid one is now lurking outside. When the girl is murdered, Rachel is involved not only by her guilty feelings of dereliction but she's also the one to assist the police when the real motive seems to be more than random violence. Miss Disney once again is the pastmistress of an attention-getting situation which keeps her readers vigilant to the last page, enjoying it all the while.
