Starting with the assumption that the reader has a new 3-room apartment, and only $1000 with which to furnish and equip it, the gres and cons of just what is necessary, what goes together, how to gauge quality of all kinds of furniture are thoroughly covered. Steps in daily, weekly and seasonal are outlined, with time schedules; every possible phase of cleaning (spots, rust, woodwork, upholstery, etc.) is covered in detail. Elementary and necessary rules and procedures are presented, and the disposal of small dabs of left is taken out of the mystery class, with practical and economical suggestions. give parties and still have a good time yourself; the fallacies of the usual program and how to avoid them; sickroom practice from a to z; what to do about how to get along with the neighbors; ways of packing without wrinkles- a of practical hints that combine to make this tops in its field.
