Against a western background, pleasant, jovial, slightly sentimental stories of a kindly schoolmarm, Miss Bunny, whose nose is always in other people's business. She has a special portage in Strawberry Roan, rancher, hobo, singer, who makes his mark with the folk music he has picked up on the road. She patches up his first romance with Barbara Ellen, who went to New York for a literary career but came back through the intervention of Miss Bunny. There are other matchmakings, and the promotion of a prize fight, and the disposal of a prospective suitor, and a fortune-telling act which almost ends in jail. Most of the stories ran in the Post, and provided entertainment for a wide audience. Good for rentals chiefly.
