PLANTS INDOORS

Subtitled ""A Guide to their Selection, Care and Use in Decoration"" this will prove a handy helper for the housekeeper wishing to inaugurate, or to expand, an indoor gardening program. There are sections on care and potting, on various types of plants -- those for foliage, climbing, upright, vines and bulbs; cacti and succulents; palms and ferns; African violets; orchids and bromeliads; other flowering plants -- on propagation, pests, diseases and problems, on greenhouses and on miniature gardens. In each there are many photographs to identify the varieties, and discussion of where what will do best, how it is to be used decoratively and which plants answer definite problems may inspire even the most timid and doubtful green thumb-er. There are photographs in color too. Good book for women's and garden clubs as well as for individual house-beautiful-ers.
