MR. CHARLIE'S CHICKEN HOUSE

In a funny story with appropriate pictures this is a different sort of how-to-do-it book. It all comes about because Mr. Charles wants eggs for breakfast. And eggs mean chickens. And chickens mean a chicken house. So he goes out to buy the materials, and as he puts them together with simple tools there is a sound explanation, in simple terms, of construction. His roly poly figure in the blue and red drawings lends humor to the text. The Hurds have a way with them.
