THE NEEDLE'S EYE

Murder and mystery entangled in the web of suspected Communist machinations in a phony workmen's hospital setup where union organizers work. There's a bit of a feel of Nero Wolfe and his henchman in Dan Wheeler, master detective, and his legman, Blake, who spins the yarn. Mystery elements somewhat bogged down in rambling dissortations on the rights of man, which makes for slow moving yarn with ""social significance"".
