MR. PIPER'S BUS

The school bus driver holds a special place in the hearts of young school children, and Mr. Piper was a lovable bus driver with a heart of gold. How could he turn away Buster the dog, Mrs. Cat and Little Mack the rooster when they coincidentally attached themselves to him. But Mr. Piper's landlady said, ""No animals"", and that was that! With heavy heart he set out in an old bus to find homes for his friends. But accomplishing this did not solve his problem. One by one each animal reappeared on the old bus sometimes even bringing friends. Faithful and steadfast, they claimed Mr. Piper. Therefore when the bus driver was offered the deserted house he had used as shelter from a storm in return for driving the neighboring children to school each day, he readily accepted. At last he and his ""family "" had found a home together. A human being's loving treatment of animals and their response to him, will find a sympathetic audience among the Easy Reading and Read Aloud age levels.
