SEAVIEW MANOR

The time is modern, more or less--there is that sashed green nightgown? The situation is believable, less or more--Andrea is asked to take care of the dangerously withdrawn Regina by Charles Carteret while posing as his girl; only later and not from him does she learn that he had had a previous wife who died untimely. And there is a story, more, definitely more, than you usually get in this genre including two further fatalities. Passable plus.
