A gentle book of poems and verses about mice should please those with a tender spot for the ""wee beasties"" as they talk of mice in all climes and walks of life. There are cozy mice in winter, mice pleased with their coats of grey, the mice of France who wine and dance and ""...have small use for toil"". Quite charming miniscule drawings in rust by Genevieve Vaughan-Jackson people the verses. A book that could rest on its own merits but which will nevertheless be given a start by Elizabeth Coatsworth's name. Weak stitching.
