THE PARTS WE REMEMBER

Excerpts, poetry and prose, from a variety of writers, of many nationalities, to create a composite picture of Paris, the city, and of what she represented in the world of culture. Topically divided, as follows:- The face of Paris, history, customs, manners, fashion, personalities, correspondence, opinions, etc. etc. which give the classics and moderns, from the 17th century to today's Louis Aragon, Rilke, Romains. I don't think the market for this is very wide, but it is an excellent portrait of the city, and indirectly of France, which should have a nostalgic appeal. In most caars the editor has done her own translations.
