In spite of poor illustrations by the authors and print that is on the small side, this is a good yarn laid in the region of Flat Head Lake in Montana. Jerry and Pat Powers dreaded the arrival of their cousin because they expected a sissy,but he turned out to be a dynamo on their camping trip. During that summer of 1916 they stumbled on a mystery involving rubies, which were called fire beads.
