A personified animal story -- but a thoroughly entertaining and original one, which helps take that hurdle. Incidents in the career of a young squirrel whose curiosity took him into all sorts of adventures, from the purchase of a white fur coat which he speedily outgrew, to a momentous trip to the city, and ultimate fame. I thought I was going to dislike it -- and I liked it.
