GARY: The Story of a Dog

A winning story of a Welsh Corgi pup, bought for an invalid boy, and then turned more or less adrift when the boy goes away to school. Good masters and mistresses and bad -- terrors of being lost in the moors -- a shelter for stray dogs -- and, just in time, rescue and a good home once more. There is nothing unique either in story or handling, and yet it emerges as a much better than average story, with Gary a real personality in the realm of dogdom.
