GOURMET KITCHEN

A successor to her earlier Meals For is intended to make cooking a more creative experience for the average housewife and to improve the table she serves to her family. Mrs. Patterson has given cooking courses for an adult education program and has incorporated this experience here. This cookbook contains a selected number of selective dishes- usually involving special and sauces; veal and sweetbreads, chicken and seafood. There are proportionately (about a third of the book) a good many desserts, and there is a closing section on yeast doughs, , brioches, buns, etc. All of the dishes seem both delicate and delectable and any should serve to add a note of distinction.
