GRIDIRON COURAGE

Another college football story couched in the undergraduate idiom, with tense situations arising and being overcome and play by play descriptions aplenty. There's a variant here, in that the smart young coach who comes to make over the mid-west small college team is a good guy, and the central figure. In the final exciting game, he has resolved all the difficulties involved in maintaining discipline and hardening the team. There's full quota of rah-rah, talk of college spirit, a good dose of locker room intrigue, and plenty of action. All the ingredients boys in the teens enjoy.
