ARIZONA STAR

A sextet of interlocking long shorts (ran in Cosmo under the title, Southwest Symphony) -- this concerns a town in Arizona, its ruling family, the Grafins, and the grandmother, Old Em, who tries to control them all. There is her daughter, Lucy, whose divorce from Chester had been railroaded through by Old Em, but who some years later returns to him. There is young Em, afraid, for a time, to cut loose to marry Sam. There are Doris, with too much mother, and Ches, with too much grandmother, who combine against opposition. And there are outsiders. Well tailored to popular demand, but not Faith Baldwin at her best.
