RAFF

A dog story is what every boy demands every season, and here is the best one so far in the Lassie Come Home tradition. With the Marguerite Kirmse pictures, it is sure of good merchandise appeal. Raff, an English setter, is the adored pet of 16-year old Bruce, son of the owner of Happydale Kennels. Bruce trains him for dog shows. When circumstances bring about a separation, there's profound misery and many ups and downs before boy and dog are reunited. Excitement, sadness, adventure, loyalty and a happy ending fill all requirements. And the dog is nice too- and credible, being no college professor but plain dog.
