MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR RETIREMENT

The sub-title- ""Where to Go, What to Do, How Much It Costs"" defines the articular purpose of this book. The better part of it gives specifications on some 5 communities in 22 states, their climate, facilities, advantages, and costs. Mr. Blanchard has visited them and complied a good deal of his material from answers to a questionnaire. The more general chapters deal with attitudes toward retirement (whether voluntary or mandatory), the choice of a community to live in and actors which influence it (health and climate, expense), types of homes from obile to hotels to institutions, living costs, etc., as well as job opportunities for the elderly, avocations and hobbies, and organizations which provide further uidance. As such, the book offers more specific, on-the-spot advice than most and it should have practical, demonstrable value.
