THE COCOA DANCER

Factual background for a story of the island of Dominica in the Caribbean. , 9, wants to become a cocoa dancer, one of a group who dance on the cocoa beaus shining them up for export. He needs four things, -- a tall hat, white pants, tough soles on his feet, and a special song all his own. With the aid of his 7-year old sister, Dodo, he acquires all these and the story ends with his dancing and singing. A simple tale, giving color and custom of a West Indies island.
