AFRICAN WONDER TALES

24 folktales from West African countries. The story point for each provides African insight into the behavior of human and animal life. The vocabularies of the stories should not prove difficult for this age level and the spelling of African names has been made simple. The book has some value as material supporting an African study project, where readers and listeners would bring some background to the understanding of the customs native to the peoples from whom the stories were collected. The decorative line cuts by Joseph Escuardo are undistinguished.
