Not quite all the ills that flesh is heir to -- but a full quiver of troubles for the marriage of Katie and Sam -- and all their friends. The shrinking dollar keeps Katie at work and Sam's pride wilts under that insult to his masculinity. There are afflictions among their relatives as well as their friends all of which help to open Sam and Katie's eyes and pregnancy for Katie selves everything. Soap opera in Canada isn't much different than in the states.
