MARS

All about the red planet, this survey is practical and efficient, and covers Mars from theories of possible origin to the possibilities there for life- native and immigrant. Explaining the modern Weizsacker theory of origin, the author goes on to enumerate past theories, forming a good basis of orientation for further material on Mars' geography, atmosphere, temperature, moons, and canals. What we need to do to get to Mars and procedures to follow on arrival are discussed with clear reference to rocket ship qualifications, comparisons to other planets and so forth. Good background reading for science fiction too.
