STAR IN THE RIGGING

Truth and fiction are ably merged in a story of the Texas Lone Star state Navy and the adventures of Capt. Jeremiah H. Brown who began service with Mexico but ended as captain of the Invincible under the U. S. flag. For nautical exactness and history, this betters some of Roark's lusher venture; the double romance, though fast paced at times, has the right outcome.
