THE SECRET FIORD

Narrow escapes and whistling arrows background the fairly routine mystery and search plot set in the 1400's in the days of the Hanseatic League. The English twins, Roger and Jillian Shelford, escaping from crafty Uncle Thomas, travel to Norway with Adam Dean, honest English merchant smuggling goods from England to Norway to avoid the piratical practices of the Hanseatic League. The twins have another reason to be glad they are with Dean because while in Norway they find that the report of their father's death was false, and that he mysteriously vanished. The search is dangerous, exciting and finally successful.
