AND WHAT DO YOU DO?

Ancona begins with a female, black air traffic controller, and in general his 27 non-degreed workers are engaged in an attractive variety of ordinary jobs (e.g., barber--also female here), less usual ones (arborist, tugboat deckhand) and glamor spots (photographer, TV production assistant)--though the selection of subjects is, understandably, weighted toward youth, and the interesting, natural-looking on-the-job photos give most a groovy air that you'd expect from a promotional brochure (though few promotional brochures make their subjects look this good). Anyway, Ancona's package does look good and is bound to be welcome; it could give a real lift to a lagging careers unit.
